The Mental Health Foundation is a non profit organisation with offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The organisation’s aim is to improve the mental health of all people and communities of New Zealand and our vision is to ‘make mental health everybody’s business’. The organisation plays a role with highly regarded campaigns such as the Like Minds, Like Mine anti discrimination and stigma campaign and Movember.

We are looking for a fulltime Communications Officer with 2-3 years communications experience to join our Auckland-based communications and marketing team.

You will be an excellent writer, understand how the media works and be confident building relationships with both internal and external stakeholder groups.

This role will see you working across a number of programmes and campaigns that have a strong social marketing and health promotion focus. You will work on publications, website and intranet content, resource development, promotional events and activities, and media liaison.

Initiative, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are a must, as is the ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

This role will provide many opportunities to further develop your communications skills as you will be working with an experienced and supportive team who will value your input.

The salary range for this position is $48,000 – $52,000 and will be commensurate to the successful candidate’s skills and experience for the role.
